Here are the most pressing needs of the Clinic today:
1) Monies for prenatal care at a cost
of $100 per client, for uninsured women to have “healthy future
citizens.” Lack of care equals high morbidity/mortality rates.
2) Testing for STI’s – to stop the spread of disease and the
morbidity/mortality related to maternal/infant health/sexual
partners/community.
3) Prenatal Vitamins.
4) Ultrasound exams ($100 each) which
determine: Pregnancy Verification/Viability; Location of fetus in
utero vs. extrauterine - necessary to rule out tubal pregnancy with
serious complications/implications; and age of fetus.
5)Lab Fees - $80 - $135 vs. $450 - $650
(regular cost of lab fees).
